The Ala Moana Beach Park is closed daily from 10:00 pm to 04:00 am.
The Hawaiian government introduced beach park closures to curb illegal night-time activity and loitering.
Expect the public parking lot and facilities to be locked at 10:00 pm.
While the beach park is closed, Ala Moana Beach itself is open 24×7, like most other Hawaiian beaches.
On rare occasions, due to the weather or for other public safety concerns (e.g., during Covid-19), the beach park may be closed by officials, either completely or for activities like swimming and snorkeling.
